Course overview

One Customer to Many ContactsThis course will teach you how to create and maintain information for customers and contacts.

  • Customers are individuals, organizations or agencies that owe money to a state agency for goods or services provided.
  • Contacts are the individuals who work for the customer with whom you do business. One customer can have multiple contacts, and one contact may work for multiple customers.

In OAKS, you can enter basic or more detailed information about a customer. You can also continue to maintain (update) this data after you enter the new customer.

When adding new customers, it is a best practice to always search first to see if the customer already exists in OAKS.

Remember: When you search for a customer or contact, more detailed search criteria will produce better search results.
