Q. What platform is OAKS/PeopleSoft going to be running on? I know it is Oracle but will it be running on UNIX/AIX or Windows?
A.

OAKS HCM, Financials and EPM applications will be running on a mix of HP Windows and HP UNIX servers. The Oracle databases will run on the UNIX servers and the web and application services will run on Windows servers.

Q. What type of hardware will be required for state agencies and where will the funds come from for new equipment?
A.

Many agencies will have no hardware to acquire in order to use OAKS, as OAKS will be accessible through standard Web browsers. Some agencies may need to acquire document imaging equipment or bar code scanners; a portion of the OAKS budget is set aside to assist agencies in purchasing this type of equipment.
