Will OAKS replace the Kronos system?
A.
No. Agencies will still be able to use their own time keeping systems such as Kronos. PeopleSoft can accept an interface from these systems. The interface format and content will be changed from that which is used currently.
Q.
When will there be an understanding of how HR in the State will change? (the number of positions altered/eliminated, position duty changes, classification changes)
A.
Understanding of specific business operational changes will evolve as the OAKS Change Management Team continues to work with the Agency and Multiple Agency Implementation Teams (AITs/M-AITs).
Q.
I would like to secure a copy of the presentation on OAKS conducted at the September 13 HR Conference.
Will the changes that OAKS represents result in any consolidations or a reduction of force for HR and business personnel?
A.
OAKS will ultimately allow HR and business personnel to be more efficient. It will be left up to the agencies to decide how to redirect their resources from transaction-centric activities to more strategic, decision-making processes.
